basketball...basketball...basketball

In my mourning over the Eagles I forgot to mention Evan's basketball tourney last weekend. They got 1st place and went undefeated. Was a lot of fun. Really helped to bolster some self-esteem after the beat down they got in Great Bend. Evan did really well and played quite a bit, so that was fun for him. He has a really nice team and coaches. They're off this weekend and then to Nickerson the end of the month.

Haley has started Rec ball. She really likes basketball too, so that makes the mama happy. She drags me out to the court every day after school to shoot around. Tries to give me a heart attack playing knock out. She beat me in around the world yesterday. That hurt the pride. Gonna have to get a little extra practice in while they're at school :) no not really... I will put an entry in here about her 10th birthday party. It was a lot of fun. She had a bowling party...10 girls and mom and dad bowling...not a boring minute!

Sophie is, well, 2. Disposition is moment by moment. She is so funny though. The other day she lifted up her shirt and pointed to her little dots on her chest and said, "I have knuckles". She too has gotten into basketball...by choice or force I'm not sure. She has her little goal in the driveway by the big goal. She prefers a plastic softball to a basketball, but you gotta start somewhere, and NEVER turn your back on her or you might get a softball to the head.

Stay away from getting beat by a 10 year old in basketball....and run to winning!
