camp and parties

Evan and Haley made it home from camp. They had a terrific time. Played, made new friends, ate too much junk food (Evan), and came home DIRTY! The absolutely best thing, though, is they both said they got closer to God. Haley said her favorite thing was worship time at the rallys aka kid church. They both said their prayer life was deeper. I think that is so exciting. It is going to be the young generation that brings in a newness of the Lord! Can't wait to see it!

The fun didn't stop when camp ended. Evan went on a trip with a friend for his friend's birthday to Kansas City. They went to a royals game...got on the jumbotron! And also went to worlds of fun. Sounded like they had quite the time.

Haley had her half-birthday on Sun. evening. She decided last Jan. that she didn't want to do her friend birthday party then because she wanted to do stuff outside. "Stuff outside" ended up being a fashion show. Tooooo funny! Haley has several old prom dresses etc. and we borrowed more from family and friends for her and her friends to dress up. They put on more make-up than Tammy Faye Baker and used all of my hairspray creating their dos...but it was worth it.
