KU camp

Finally getting some pics up from KU b-ball camp. Evan had a blast! There seemed to be a lot more of the KU players there this year. I'm sure it's not anything to do with the fact they didn't lose half their team from Seniors. :) The only one that wasn't there for the signing time was Sherron Collins...E's favorite player. E's highlights included: being selected as camper of the day, taking a charge(the only one that day), sharing a room with one of his best buds, the past-present game(a favorite of mine too), and all the games they played in the evening. One thing about Evan, he's always competitive. Whether it's a rec game, MAYB game, KU camp or in the driveway with friends. Evan is, uh, shall we say, intense when he's playing sports. Sometimes that's good....sometimes that's not good. I have to admit I'd rather him be too intense than not care at all.

Shirts and skins baby!
Switching gears...E hit a 3 run, home run in his baseball game on Mon. The count was 3-0, but his dad (coach) gave him the greenlight to swing. And boy did he! Parenting is definitely learn as you go and I learned that Evan shouldn't have a sleepover and then play all day with friends the day of a game. He was a little sluggish to say the least. :)

Haley is flying through summer too. She's enjoying taking tennis again this summer. And we're always happy to have her best friend, Catera, here all the time. Those two girls are so funny together.

We got Sophie a little motorized jeep...a Barbie jeep...to be exact. Took her a few days to figure out how to drive. At first she only wanted to drive in reverse. Who knows? Funny though!

E&H were at camp all last week. Worked out pretty good since Larned....finally!....made it legal to purchase and fire fireworks. Since they were gone we got out of spending money until 7.03. They only nearly burned this house down a few times on 7.04! I think Jon and I had as much fun as they did. Although being legal did take a little of the thrill out of it! ;)

Have a great week!

Stay away from being too intense...and run to being a little intense!
