TEXAS

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Texas. The kids and I drove as far as Norman, OK on Mon. Then the rest of the way on Tues. We took our sweet time and stopped at LOTS of McDonalds and gas stations. Don't tell Jon!! ;) The kids had fun writing down all the different state vehicle tags. Last count we saw 26 different states. Pretty good considering they were also watching movies the entire trip. Jon flew down Wed. night to meet us. Yay!! We like to say Derick and Jenn got the Skelton Live experience. :)

A day at the zoo. Sunshine! Soo much fun.

Sophia was crazy excited to go up and down the escalator with Dad. It's the little things in life....

Sunglasses and eating out. Had to point to the sign that had her Great Grandma's nickname...Mimi.

Was warm enough to swim outside....after this winter I could move down there in a heart beat!

Evan's highlight was going to Rangers stadium with Uncle Derick. Haley's highlight was swimming and getting a pedicure with Jenn. Sophia kept calling Derick and Jenn, Uncle Derick and Uncle Jenn. She's always got interesting comments about EVERYTHING. Too many to write here. D&J introduced us to some new restaurants. Pretty sure I gained about 10 pounds. But was sooo worth it. Larned is not known for their dining options!! We came home on Sat. to snow and rain. Yuck!!
